I know Johnny, I grew up with it too but about 9 years ago or so there was a popular technosong that remixed the Derrick theme, truly horrible song but it started with a quote from the show
Derrick: Mein name ist Derrick Woman: Das name sagst mir nichts When you mentioned it I suddenly remembered it for some reason... |

OMG! 'Tatort', 'Der Alte' und 'Derrick'!
And all of them mentioned in one post! That's evil! What comes next? 'Lindenstrasse' and 'Unter uns?' (j/k) I have to say, I didn't like them at all. But the newer 'Der Bulle von Tölz' series is better.

Der Name sagt mir nichts. Nom. Sg. masc. -- 3rd person present When translating from English to German you have to be extremely cautious with grammatical gender and case for adjectives and nouns as well as exact person for verbs. Now that's it for today, now get the hell outta here [ 01-29-2004, 03:50 PM: Message edited by: Faceman ]

Hey! Tatort! That still runs, though they're repeats I guess...my parents like watching it and I used to enjoy them...not anymore though.

Yes, it's inspector Derrick, from the Munchener mordcommission. I guess after a while it gets a little dull, yes. There's never much action in it, like in American detectives, but i like the way he plays with the suspects. It's like watching a cat play with a mouse.
