But apparently not without some protests, considering the descriptions of the riots (torching cars it sounds like the "youths" are the same angry muslims who rioted in Paris a few years ago when the muslim trying to evade police got himself killed in a power plant.

However, an internal police memo obtained by Reuters said there was no large-scale trouble there. "The second round of the presidential election did not generate any large demonstrations of urban violence in sensitive neighborhoods," said the memo. It added that the level of violence was above that usually seen on July 14 Bastille Day, France's national holiday, "but below that of New Year's celebrations." Police say on an average just over 100 cars are set ablaze in France each night.

Only 100 cars on average... that makes me feel so much better.

I'm anxious to see if he's going to cleansweep those banlieus as he promised, France could be in for a civil revolt the coming period.

As one article I was reading mentioned, a lot of his ability to fulfill his promises depends on whether or not the his party retains control after the Parliamentary elections, otherwise he could end up cohabitating the PM spot and have a lot of trouble making anything stick.

Morg, I don't know what the percentage, of minds full of mush (Young punks), are that are muslim. But I can tell you ra-ght now nearly 100% of them are self serving power hungery idiots.
