Answering the Sphinx's question

Ok, I know I can get into the Shrine, but that Sphinx is a killer! If I DO want to answer the critter's question, what is the question and how do I answer it? Do I just kill the critter?

The Sphinx asks 3 questions...the first one is random and the answers could be...death, grave or ice...the 2nd and 3rd...(you would figured out, these 2)...are Kerrah and Anephas. (make sure and save, before you start)

BTW...Alot of people on this board frown on killing NPC's...But..It Is your game...

also BTW....the sphinx is very hard to kill....But..It is Alot of XP....

I don't know... by the time I've gotten to the Sphinx, I've never had a problem handling her (unless I was surrounded by several packs of worgurs, a few scourges of the sea, and a small raptor tribe). Standing nose-to-snout and swinging away has some wonderful results.

And part of the reason I mention this is that if one follows your advice, Packrat, a battle will ensue. Answering the second question "Kerrah" instead of "Kerah" will just not do... [img]tongue.gif[/img]

But thanks, BTW -- I never knew the answer to all three questions, and I've never actually gotten past the sphinx with both of us alive. More's the pity.

IIRC killing the sphinx isn´t that hard like Bungleau said. Something to keep in mind is, the tougher the monster the better ranged combat skill. So when facing a high level monster do your fighting hand to hand. An exception is that griffon outside the Stout Mines. Useful spells are the storm ones (duuh

). When fighting hand to hand you can dodge their attacks, that´s impossible with spells...

The first time I ran into the sphynx I ended up having to kill it due to a typo! lol! Fortunately, I had saved my game shortly before meeting him and restored. Like Dragons and Ents, I like sphynxs too!

in fact, the ONLY spell which i tink has effect on the sphinx, would be "meteorstorm"..........
i didnt haf the spell so i juz did it wif sword fights coz i answered the question wrongly!
