Anyone who thinks the our Canadian healthcare system is laudable needs to give their head a shake.

No, our system isn't perfect, but I wouldn't trade it.
That's not the way it works in Cuba, they have two tiers of care in Cuba, VIP's, foreigners, people who have connections, etc. if you don't have those advantages and try to use the Cuban health care system, you get to bring your own linens to the hospital, your own tylenol, your own bucket (for a bedpan), etc. Certainly not the paradise it's made out to be.

AND if the US healthcare is so horrible why are there so few Canadian Primary Care Physicians (from what I've been reading around most Canadian Dr.'s either become specialists or move to America where they can make more $ and deal with less governmental red tape.) Why do people from all over the world come to America to be treated, in spite of our flaws (which are legion) we are among the best in the world.

CNN fact checking Sicko:

Michael Moore immediately responding to CNN's fact checking, pretty much ripping Wolf Blitzer a new one:

And then an article with the debunkings of CNN's debunkings:

Exactly! That's why I hope putting this right back into the spotlight has *some* effect. Of course it won't because of the exact same reasons you mentioned, but it's nice to dream, right?

Sure, if you've got money to spend, the American "free market" system is perfect. But that's not the point of the film.

Yeah, the free market definitely will get the top notch doctors, because they can make the most money in it.

The problem is that too many people are left out in the cold when it comes to healthcare, and it is irresponsible of the US as a country. Ultimately we all carry the financial burden. The US system is broken and there are better ways

I watched sicko a week or two ago. It's not bad, and it makes a good point. I say take it with a grain of salt though, cause Moore has an extreme bias to these issues and no matter how good your intentions are, if you have as severe a bias as Michael Moore, Rush Limbaugh, or any other such person, your fact are guaranteed to be skewed.
