Did anyone notice when you scroll down there was listing for a playmobil police man with radar gun? I laughed my butt off when I read some of the comments as well!

I am guessing that most of the people who have commented about the toy are of the opinion that it is a ridiculous idea and assume that a child would not actually play with it.

I actually think that toys like this are not a bad idea and there is obviously a market out there for them. I agree the price seems a bit much, but it is probably a well made toy and will not break easily.

It is my opinion that a child should not be sheltered or keep ignorant of the world they are growing up in. Security checks points and metal detectors are a part of life in America today; if fact it is even possible that by the time a child is in 6th grade they will be going through one at their school. If they have been given the opportunity to understand and accept that at an early age they will be better able to live with it as they get older.

Actually, I agree with you fully Bumbus.
I think it will help children a lot when they do encounter a check-point. Whether at the Airport, or anywhere else.

I do "not" agree however, with your post count: 62 since 2005!? Shame, shame, shame, on you.

I guess I should apologize for not commenting more often. The truth is I really enjoy reading the posts and comments here and I have found the people and general atmosphere to be much more to my liking then most other “opinion” boards I have visited. I have commented before on my lack of posts and long intervals between visits. Maybe I should explain my situation better in my profile.

My life is very busy, not unlike a lot of you I am sure, and I rarely can find the time to come and visit even when I am using the computer. I am also a game player, computer games and more recently some Xbox 360, so when I do have some free time my first choice is that. This is really the only time I find myself coming here; “this” being 5 in the morning on a night when I did not get home from work until 3 and am way to “wired” to sleep or do much else.

Sorry for the off comment post, I just thought I should respond to the quote.
