Seeking advice for a dual class F/T

I'd still dual over. A thief takes the least amount of XP to level up out of any class, and will level up in every big fight in HoW for the first part.

I LOVE initiating fights with a crippling backstab. A F/T in IWD/HoW is the best mage/archer killer; all you need is the occasional MM or Dispel from one of your other characters to take down annoying magical defenses (if the first strike doesn't kill them first), and those spellcasters have NO shelf-life.

It's more about the concept than about the pure efficiency - however, a D/C F/T with sneak attack can be even more deadly in melee than a pure Fighter.
