im 13 years old(tell me someone who doesnt know that or the fact that im Estonian ) and ive seen that my classmates and other almost same young people like to watch children stuff(aka Beethoven) but i despise all that sorts of stuff. one of my classmates likes Jar Jar(!), and none of them have seen great freaky genre movies like Fight Club, Requiem: For A Dream, Pi and possibly Se7en(which i have yet to see). i fear that my classmates cant watch such movies yet because a) Their english rate is what normal people would call "dumbass" b) they just arent mature enough. they wanna watch things like Scary Movie or whatever. i think its kinda wierd when a persons favourite movie is South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2, Not Another Teen Movie(which is just like any other teen movie ), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back or whatever. sure, those movies are good for a laugh(South Park, Not Another Teen Movie and Scary Movie were the funniest, i think) but they have no point. theyre el stupido! and most of my classmates favourite movies are one of the ones i mentioned. one of the most hated ones(hated by me), Jon(classes most popular boy. jerk, pathetic wimp, asshole, thinks he`s cool) is the craziest when talking about this. he know english language enough to understand but he is an impatient brat who loves those sorts of music videos that eminem("wow! he`s holding his groin and saying "suck my d**k" for no apparent reason!" oh, please..) makes.
its kinda wierd that i think im better than they are. but if you`d just see how they react to everything, you`d understand that im talking about pure(or not pure. more like intoxicated) idiots. |

Are you better or just different? Superior or the same?
is it not just a little egotistical to assume you are better? Now wait, don't get PO'd here. Im not accusing you or saying you are wrong, just posing philosophical questions. It is easy to assume because one knows this or does that...that they are better...but I think it is better not to view it like that, but to just realize that diversity is a good thing. And now i have to ask...exactly what types of posts are you looking for here? |

You sound a lot like my son when he was 13 (he's 21 now)
Have you seen "Memento" yet? If not, add it to your list of must sees. |

No kidding USS. I wouldn't call you egotistical just yet. Well I wouldn't if you didn't bluntly say you felt you were better than your classmates. I don't like those movies very much either. (I can't stand Jay and Silent Bob!)

I recommended it (again) to my son and he said "Nah, I read the screenplay." like it was nothing. Turns out his girlfriend's aunt managed to get her a copy of it and sent it to her for her birthday. (I still think he should see it.) |
