What do you all think the greatest crpg of all time is/was. But I mean for it's time, rather than comparing Zork or whatnot to Morrowmind.

BG2 all the way, followed closely by Fallout and Arcanum.

THE BALDUR'S GATE SERIES all of it. you cant really just count the final chapter. You have to play all of them one after the other to really experience the best CRPG of all time + you can still down load about 200 more hours of MODs for the series at TeanBG. and ever few months they add more. so I say the never ending BALDUR'S GATE SERIES!!!

Definetly Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn & Throne of Bhaal, with NWN on a strong second.
I have yet to play IWD2, though, I have the feeling that when I do, my list will be changed. |

I loved Adventure, for the Atari, but I don't know if that really counts as a rpg. I mean, your character was a square. An intrepid, heroic square, but a square nonetheless.
I'd say: BG2 Planescape: Torment Wizardry 8 Final Fantasy (for the gameboy!)
