I just came back from spending a week in Israel for this championship. Here is a link to an article of it. Because the direct link to the article doesn't seem to work, you can use this one. Click on the sports link and scroll a bit down untill you find the article named 'The blind lead the seeing at European goalball championship'

http://www.jpost.com

I played for the Belgian team and was a bit disappointed that we didn't won the final, specially if you saw how we dominated the entire field the days before. That's sports i guess. when it comes down to one match, The outcome doesn't always depend on your skill but also on a pretty huge luck factor.

And about Israel as a country. Well it's very beautifull and could be a nice vacationing spot, would it not be for the security problems.

On a side note. I don't unerstand why the Palestinians are making so much trouble over there. I mean the women there are amongst the most beautifull in the world (and i have travelled a lot). The only ones that can compare with them are the Skandinavian girls and the Australian ones.

Interesting, JR. I like the goalball concept; What's best about it is that it gives people who might not be able to play a "traditional" sport an opportunity to play a competitive game.

I will not comment on your impliedly narrow view of the Palestinian/Israeli issue and the reasons why it should not be happening, nor on your seeming ignorance of, or disregard for, the charms of Canadian girls.
