More about the romances

Ok, here's more infor about the romances and its parameters.

to initiate a "unscripted romance" in BG2, you use the clua console command

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("CharnameMatch","GLOBAL",1)
where the charname is one of teh four scripted love interests in bg2.

this should be done almost immediately in the game once you start.

now, you download the latest version of shadowkeeper, and check the global variables.

the "charname"Match variable is equal to 1
after the character enters the party, the "charname"Romance active bit should be set to 1.

the vlaues will stay static, until an random romance event happens. if you answer correctly, this number, usually starts around 200000 goes up. the higher the number, the better the romance.

I had a lot of problems with

I recommend using "Match" BEFORE meeting the character.

Ok, now that I've got the attention of all you perverts out there, and I've dispensed information, I want some in return.

I CAN'T find deidre in the adventure mart! she has the shiled of balduran which will be enourmously helpful in the beholder maze, (I'm still in chapter 2)

someone posted saying she was upstairs.

now, the adventure mart is two levels, a lower level, and a upper level connected by a short staircase. on the upper level i found the scroll seller who was defying the cowed wizards, but I still can't find deidre who is suppose to be there according to my cheat book.

is there more than 1 room in the adventure mart? or does she only show up after you complete a quest? or does she show up sometimes only? or is versus books yanking my chain?

too much frustration and I'll be tempted to create the item and ruin the rest of teh game for me.

yep, running the collectors edition cd.

I really want the robe of vecna too.

darned close to using the create item cheat.

must hold boo back from ripping out beholder eyes...

I saw that you can download an override patch at some place, teambg or something to get didre to appear correctly cause alot of people don´t have her even if they have the ed cd..

She'll be in the upper level back Ribald, maybe there is a bug.
Anyway, you can download the bonus.zip from
http://www.bgdungeon.com/bg2/downloads.htm and see if it works.
