I don't see it in the manual or on a search mode here.

Huh? Import a Wiz 8 character into a new game?

You can't. You can import a Wiz 7 character into Wiz 8, but whats the point of taking an immensely powerful Wiz 8 party and going back to Dominus again?

If you're talking about the 7 to 8 importing, then click on Start New Game from the main menu, and there should be a button along the bottom of the screen which reads "7-8" click on that. You must have the savegame files from Wizardry 7 in the Import directory of your Wizardry 8 installation.

I could see how it would be fun to take one seasoned char out for a solo jaunt, or mayby bring my developed bishop along with a new party.

I think that would get the new party members killed pretty fast. The monster level seems to be tuned to the maximum level of any of your characters. If you have a single level 24 character and the rest level 1's and 2's -- they will be totally over classed.

Much earlier, I did think I saw someone talk about removing a rolled character from a started game --- and replacing with a newly rolled character. In some RPG's that is a standard trick to get a little jump start on equipment, but to the best of my reading -- I don't think it is possible here.
