I don't know about Lexington, but it has been hot and humid and well over the 90's here in southern Indiana all summer, although 'technically' it has been cooler than it's ever been here (ha, right).

Please let winter come in full force

Wow! Have the other gods suddenly remembered Choc's presence, and are trying to plot an overthrow?

Batten down the hatches again, Z, and be safe. I just hope there's no one else in the wings...

Yeah I heard about Ivan and thought "I don't want anymore rain!"
I hate that theres another one coming we just got over the leftovers from Francis.

Good Luck to all of you in Florida. You all get the worst of it. I'd say all those weather people are tired of standing out in high wind and rains. One lady nearly got hit with the roof of her condo. They are brave people....

Ivan's latest track shows him crossing the Western end of Cuba and running up the Gulf side of Florida.

Each forecast (NOAA updates at 11AM and 5PM daily) shows a more and more westerly turn in the next few days. Maybe good news for Florida, certainly better than a direct hit running the length of the pennisula, but not so hot for the Gulf states or the others along the Eastern Seaboard. NC, for example, suffers more death and damage from hurricanes that make landfall in the Gulf states than any others, including those that actually hit her shores. I know it sounds weird, but the most death and damage on the Eastern US Coast (north of Florida) comes from the heavy rains and flooding brought by these storms.

Yeah, Dan, come on up! The weather has been pretty cool, but I've seen it over 90. pretty sure we've stayed under 100, though. Sister, eh? J/k.
Not old enough to "buy" you a drink, but I'm sure I could grab something on our "dry" campus!

That must be very annoying Ziroc, I would be very scared in that situation, but that is because I am not used to hurricanes.
I am very lucky to live in the part of Australia I live in. We don't get many cyclones (aka hurricanes).
Anyways Ziroc, I'm sure everything will be fine, a hurricane/cyclone can randomly change it's course in a split second.
I hope for the best

Ivan doesn't look too pretty! I really hope it drops down from cat 5 before it hits land! Right now the son of a friend of mine is on his honeymoon in Jamaica and they were right on Ivan's route last time I heard the weather report.

Dude, I thought you meant Twista was giving a show in Florida. Ah well, no worries, I mean, we've never been hit by a tornado yet, so here's hoping our luck will hold.
