This a poem I just wrote. Okay maybe this is a pointless thing to do, but felt like sharing it. If you want to write comments or your own poems feel free.

Stars shine down,
Upon the emerald orb,
A wash with sparking sea,
Oh such light,
Diamonds in space,
Means nothing to me,
For I lie,
In the dew kissed grass,
Watching a heavenly glow,
It shines with joy,
And peace unknown,
To me,
Sighing I dream,
Of touching it,
Holding it,
To tell the world,
It belongs to me,
Yet ruining it I will,
For no one can own,
What I see,
Slowly it goes,
Leaving me,
Lying here,
And looking out,
It the sun I see,
Spreading its light
On this sphere,
Good night,
My love,
My moon.

I bow to you, sweet Valen. Your words touch my heart and make me smile

May I join in? Although my poem I have selected for this evening is on a different level .

MENTAL ECLIPSE

My free-flowing subconcious swirls Nonsense
Confusion and Fear creat this Vortex
Such an Abundance of Life Forces...
Individually combined in the same Vex,
or should I say Hex?

I confuse myself in my Clarity
Invisibility is a fraud clear as Glass
Forgotten is the seriousness of this Parody
The dreaming future duplicates the Past

Alone I choose the path most Downtrodden
So I am not the killer of the dead Weeds
I've travelled so many miles in such a short Distance
I clearly remember those steps now Forgotten

I work so hard taking a Break
But my dreams always keep me Awake
The obstacles in my way help me Along
In seeing what is right is actually wrong

We swim through this ocean Dehydrated
And after a long day of nothing are Sated
Our lives are normal and our heads are Pounding
As we close our eyes and ignore our surroundings

My trauma is my Triumph
Your sickness is your Savior
The weapons you need on the Outside
All originate from the Inside

Any other poets out there? Please, let's hear it! I myself am going back to my rubber room to eat tapioca.

This is three days old, two verses so far. I tend to write poems backwards, probably explaining why I've never been much of a poet.

---

The shade darts ahead through recess of my mind, relentlessly stalking my will - I’ll run like a coward and hide like a child, awaiting the end of my years. But it laughs at my form as I cower away, scrambling from darkness to light; it knows that the chase is not over, not yet, and once more shall I flee, hide away, shed my tears.

I awaken in blanket of sweat, mind aflame, and the dregs of my nightmares subside. Silently I watch and wait... the dawn filters now through the glass, meets my gaze, its warmth like an ocean of gold. It offers tide and tale of the day now ahead, and the pain that it's likely to hold. But as many before me, I press on; my prize? The promise of another restless night, and the terrors that lie within. The courage to live is more valuable than gold, and the taking of life the most deadly of sin.

Oh my God, Armisael, was that you?!! That was great! Of course, you're a writer so I guess I'm not surprised! I bet you have a notebook full of them, don't you?!

ps - glad to see you're still here, I get the impression you're ready to "burn your bridges?" Are you experiencing the Girlfriend vs. Board dilema?

Yeah, sort of. I'll be posting a lot less now, and less still when I work up the guts to say something to her.
In the space of five years, I've only written about a dozen or so proper poems. Used to write a lot more... ta, Lady Z.

Armisael, brilliant poem.
Here is another one I wrote....I haven't wrote any poems in years and now I suddenly just began again....think I must have a Muse somewhere.

Another falls,
From the walls,
At which we stand,
Fighting back,
The women gone,
The children fled,
Least they be among the dead,
They number many,
And we too few,
Not one runs,
Else we lose,
The cries dim,
A sudden strike,
And so I die,
My green blood spilled.
By human hands.

I have written a few romantic poems when my wife and I were still dating, before marriage, and a couple afterwards as well, and I would post a couple up here if I knew where she kept them. I of course did not think to keep a copy.
