Hi Folks,

One thing we all might find handy is a list of NPCs you can kill and not have it impact on your relationships with groups.

Example: I pickpocketed & then killed the T'rang healer/apothecary shop guy in L. Marten's Bluff, it was an easy fight and got 22,000 experience points each, plus got items

The only other NPC I killed was myles... I needed a dagger for the graveyard and Antone didn't have any for sale

However, the thing with the T'rang guy makes me wonder if there are other big exp NPCs to kill that won't affect the plot or hurt relationships.

Let me know.

Regards.

You can always kill the Don and his sidekick in the Rattus tree. That'll net you about 40K experience each (6 member party) and some nice trinkets.

If you do kill him, all it will do is make the Mafia hate you... but Rattus Rattus is the only one left and I never ran into him again.

Just make sure you let him get the As... Do... for you first!

You can also kill off all the Mook in Arnika. Sure, they'll hate you for it but so what? They don't appear anywhere else in the game. I haven't off-ed them (yet) so I dunno how much Exp you'll get from it.

I wonder what happens if you kill the mook and you have a mook in your party? Anyone?

Allow me to address this, as I eliminated the pesky Mook just this week. My prob was never getting the fake AD to swap with the Mook owned CM. Hence my need to nerf the Mook. I got no comment from my female mook bard about the whole sordid affair.

I'm of the opinion that you can kill just about any of the NPCs, it just may eliminate some side quests that would otherwise be available.

As long as you don't kill any T'rang or Umpani I believe that you cannot mess up anything. Killing Vi or Bela might also give problems. Though actually all you need to do is to grab the three artifacts, get into the Rapax castle and then go through the portal to the mountain after disarming the Tower in Arnika. Then you'll be safe.

I wonder whether the recruitable NPC's are all "expendable".
If Miles is killable without He'Li complaining....
Anyone tried killing madras or the Umpani bard?

Never tried Madras, but before I knew how to "lift" any item off of an RPC, I did once kill Saxx. Very weird thing happened. He was "reincarnated" back in the bar you meet him in. If I went into the Umpani camp, everyone was still green and friendly, but he showed up as a red dot. If I got too close to him though, he would attack me, and then all the Umpani would go hostile.

Also with Myles, I think you have to kill him out of view of the Higardi, or it will effect your status with them.

Who I really wish were fair game are those priests near Braffit - so many times those guys haved pushed me up or down the stairs leading to Braffit!! They are so annoying!

Yep, just tried Vi. Bad idea. Miles left my party and he and He'Li would not talk to me. Miles just kept saying things about "surprises for between my eyes" and He'Li went on about the fine and nasty things she was planning for my corpse.
To spice things up the HLL and Higardi guards turned into enemies. Nice to see on your x-ray radar. Every green dot turning red.
If you can kill Miles then Madras shouldn't be a problem. He is quite alone and out of sight.
Perhaps the trick is to recruit a NPC take him/her to a remote area, dismiss and then kill. Will try tonight.

And those priest (lay brothers?) deserve a good slapping! Talking about annoying; have ever been pushed of the tree in trynton? There is one spot where the railing is gone and those pushy trynnie champions havdperfect timing. Caught in a group of six there was no way to go but down....

To my very big surprise one of my characters survived the fall back to trynton, taking only 120 damage

I had the same problem at Trynton in my first game. I was walking along minding my own business when they shoved me over the edge. I had a Valkyrie at the time and she cheated death and was the only one to survive. Of course I got into a fight immediately and she dies as well. I have since learned to watch for the Trynnies and only go through that area when they are not around.

Well any RPC can be offed without reprecussion if you do it discreetly. Just "hang em out to dry" so to speak. Let them join your party, put them all alone in the front rank with no armor or weapons, get into an encounter with some monsters, have your characters do nothing but guard, and let the RPC get killed. That will also lead to giving you the option to "bury" them

I killed Rattus Rattus from the very begining because I read his note which he gave me. He dropped a couple of stuff. When I reach the Rattkin Tree, Don and his sidekick were already hostile, so I killed them and took the astral dominae without paying any gold. Oh, and u get the Cane of Corpus too(which eventually I couldn't use because there were no ninjas in my party)
