Anyone seen a custom holy avenger longsword?

This will reveal me as terminally fussy, but...

I understand my paladin has a holy avenger in his future,
and that it's a two-handed sword. This bugs me tremendously,
since my character's always been longsword-and-shield. I love
that combination, much prefer how it looks in the game.

Has anyone made a custom weapon with all the properties of
the Holy Avenger, but usable in one hand? Long or bastard sword
would be my preference...

Greetings and welcome.
In ToB there is a +5 bastard sword Purifier that is not as good as Crasomyr but you can use a shield with it...

Is it a holy avenger? Or "just" a +5 sword?

The holy avenger is "just" a +5 sword that dispels magic with every hit,does +5 dam to chaotic evil opponents ,can dispel magic 3/day and gives you 50% mr.
The purifier is "just" a +5 sword that deals +5 damage to evil opponents,gives you mr 30%,dispel magic 2/day and mass cure 1/day.
As you can see they are not the same thing exactly but...

Outstanding. I think when I finish the avenger quest I'll just
fire up Shadowkeeper and pull a switcharoo - if you can't look
good slaughtering the hordes of hell, then what's the point?

I don't get why you must cheat rikter.
The sword exists in the game!Why not search and find it?

I had never heard of the "Purifier". Sounds more like sword an Undead Hunter might want to use. As a bit of a spoiler do you mind telling me who/what might be able to lead me to this prize?

The Purifier can only be found in TOB. So if you don't have TOB, you're out of luck...

If yer in BG1, then if I remember correctly, when you import your char into BG2, you'll have the chance to re-distribute yer proficiency slots. So, you can spend yer points on 2H sword and 2H weapon style for maximum slaughter potential.
