Because you are always connected and the odds of someone trying to hack into your computer are therefore much higher. You don't have to have a firewall, it's just much safer.

And if you are connected to the net 24/7, and go away from you're pc, a firewall will(read:should) prevent remote access (read:trojan files, bots, zombies, etc) to net usage. People tend to use the programs when they attack servers and flood them, or do other permiscuous things for which they don't wanna take the blame but actually wanna do.

Yeap i hooked my DSL up last night too orderd it 3 weeks ago man is it fast click and there is the page.

About F89(Dutch guilders)i know other providers are cheaper but quicknet is the only one available here.
