Tell that to a rape or child molestation victim. It is a natural impulsive reaction to a scathing injustice. Assaulting a murderer after seeing him murder someone isn't an odd reaction. It is almost an expected reaction, anger. What if it was your pet that was thrown off a bridge wouldn't you feel the same?

Much as I'd like to see somebody rise beyond the natural response of anger, I can't say I'd blame them for the reaction. Or for that matter, I doubt I could claim with 100% certainty that I myself wouldn't react in the same way.
