Default Buying IWD2

Seeing as this is one of the few games lacking from my collection, I purchases a brand new copy off of amazon.com

Just want to know what the IW feedback is like on this game. Great? Good? And if anyone has an estimated play time to complete the game that would be nice. I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet.

I liked it. It took a while to get used to the 3E rules, and it's a rougher game than IWD1, but it's still good.

You should be able to finish in around 30-40 game days. I honestly have very little idea how many hours that'll be. Probably about as much as it takes for IWD/HoW/TotL.

I liked it, played through it about 3-4 times. First with a party and then progressively less characters until I went solo on the last game.

I don't find it as eminently replayable as the original IWD and the story is a little bit bloated and over the top, but it does have some decently challenging combat with some added interactive puzzle elements not seen previously in the infinity engine before. The soundtrack is also rather sweet.
Shame than an expansion for IWD2 wasn't made to balance out the series.
