you have to go through BG1, SoA an ToB and keep certain items to get him to make something for you.

Either that or you can clua in the items you need.

He only makes one of the best pieces of equipment in the whole entire series. Don't worry about him at all, he's not important

I just got through being told this myself (subject : Interesting fashion problem). I quess you are at about the same place in TOB as I am. It seems that if we want to find out we have to start over again in BG1. Other than that no one seems to feel its worth wild to do it unless you are a hard core player. And if you still have your copy of BG1. What bothers me is that this hurst all those new player who got involved in this series only after BG2 was released.

That's why it's such a powerful piece of equipment with other goodies added

If it really bothers you, use Shadow Keeper to add the Unit to your inventory and play around with it for a while. I doubt that you'll want to keep it or miss it afterward. It's an Easter Egg and, as such, is meant to reward dedicated, long-time players (note: I never got it the legit way either) and is completely dispensable (not to mention removing much of the challenge of the game).

I actually how it makes you look like a Juggernaut Golem. If there was a way to get rid of that, then I'd actually use it, but I don't. If I could make it's inventory pic stay the same, but the way it looks once you wear it look like that of the Plate of Balduran, then I'd actually use it instead of keeping it in my bag of holding.

I opened up IEEP and took out the header that makes the NPC look like a Juggernaut Golem. It now goes on like regular armor would. Am I missing out on anything besides my size? Did becoming the golem affect my speed in any way?
