I have three cousins on one side, they're all older than me, we're not too close, and I have eight cousins on my other side, two of whom I hang out with whenever possible, though they live an hour away...

I have no cousins, but one of my mom's good freinds we call Aunt has a daughter. I don't think of her as a cousin though. I don't think of the other as an Aunt though either, now that i think of it.

I have 8 cousins total, 4 on each side. 2 on one side I haven't seen in at least 12 years, 1 I saw a few months ago, another I saw 2 days ago. One the other side, I've seen them all within 18 months.

Where do you people get all these cousins? My family is me, brother, parents, 2 grandmothers, and one retarted Aunt noone ever talks to. After that i have to look in our Adress book to remember who my realtives are they are so distant. Then there's you people with eighty Aunts, 10 siblings, 17 parents, and 9109 grandparents. It's nuts to me!

Hmm...just got back from seeing more in one place than happens every 15 yrs... 46 aunts and uncles..
somewhere in the neighborhood of over 120 first cousins... is that alot?
good thing about my family is that they are all likeable folk, so I am very lucky in that department...I could mooch my way around the world a week or two at a time and never stay twice with the same person for a year..

Wow! Elven aunts & uncles! And I thought elves existed only in fantasy rpgs! j/k

I have, oh about 4 or 5 cousins on my side of the family, and a about a gazillion bajillion on my wife's side. She is constantly exasperated by the fact that I give her a blank stare whenever she mentions a particular one, especially if the relation is somewhat distant.

Wife: Do you know so-and-so?
Me: Who? Is it one of your Quota CLub friends?
W: No silly! It's my mum's uncle's nephew's niece's cousin's daughter-in-law! You know, the one who had to undergo hair surgery. We met them at (yet another relative)'s wedding.
M: Who?
W: (Irritated tone) You know! The one with no ears, and with a crooked nose & missing teeth!
M: Err, sorry the name doesn't ring a bell. Maybe if I might know them by face...
W: (Thoroughly exasperated) Never mind!
