I thought of moody but dismissed it for the reason you described...maybe inconstant? Caring also had to many other connotations so I just translated a Dutch word.
I know what you mean about phantasievoll (God it's so wonderful to think german again! contrary to most people I love the language and will grab any chance to speak it...unfortunately I don't see my German family too often) but I can't think of a good translation... inventive sounds too technical whereas phantasievoll has more to with the depths of the mind...
How about imaginative? I think it's more of an exact translation

BTW your description of yourself would also fit perfectly on me!

Thanks, Melusine, "imaginative" is a perfect fit ! Why didn't I think of it myself ?

Btw, I use "babylon" a lot, it is fast and convenient and the database/vocabulary is acceptably broad. Of couse, it does not give any other information but the various translations, so nothing on gramar like which preposition to use - for me always the hardest part of a foreign language - and similar things.

Strange, I have always thought of you as quite self-confident. But then again, as great as this board is, many people don't realize how limited the extent is to which we really get to know each other.

Ahhhh this is really wonderful, talking German! But sorry, it must be frustrating if you can't understand a word!

Hallo Melusine,

And the curtain lifts: back to English ....

Ramon - Yeah that's right! Beg to differ? Blah! I can have my fun, but when things get real I truly feel for others. Ladyzekke can be easily manipulated if one knows her well enough! Heartstrings easily played!
