Hehe...

Just over a week ago I had to have FOUR cavities drilled at the same time. Two without any painkillers or anaesthetics either. I never used to have any cavities, I don't understand. I'm laying off the sugar now...

Safe, yes. Pleasant, no.

Speaking as a veteran of 3.5 years of braces (thankfully well over; orthodontist appointments every month!), just shut your eyes and try to think about something else.

'Twas a dark and stormy night, and Aerich was entirely lost and confused...
I had a streak of 9 years in a row without a single cavity, that was when the dentist was fully covered by our healthcare system. When we had to pay the dentist partly ourselves, suddenly the cavities came mysteriously out of nowhere. The last time i went, the dentist filled two cavities, and told me in advance that he saw two other spots that would need drilling by the time i come back in 6 months. In other words... make sure you bring plenty of money.

That's when i told him literally: Man, krijg de takke (his name is Takken ), i'll only be back here when i actually have a toothache.
