From the book of that name.

A few of my favourites.

1. At midnight it is raining hard. How likely is it that it will be sunny in 72 hours time?

2. What happened in Paris on June 31st, 1945?

3. How many queens have been crowned in England since 1831?

4. In a balloon just off the coast of Ireland, I dropped two wine bottles, one empty, and one full. Which hit the ground first?

5. Which English word do Australians always pronounce incorrectly? (Damn Aussies eh? )

6. If all aerosol propellants burn when lit, how is it that, whilst threatened by a snake on a recent trip to the equator, I was unable to use my deodorant and cigarette lighter as a flame-thrower?

7. Can you guess the next letter in this series?
C, Y, G, T, N, L, I, T...?

Answers by PM please...

Not for long you didn't!

Ok, Hivetyrant is the first one to get any right, and he got 2-6 all at once, and then 1 in the next PM. Congrats.

Blunderbuss got numbers 4 and 5 right.

Lavindathar, sadly, has no points to his name, after a multitude of guesses and PMs.

This sure was an ego-trip... to sign in and be faced with 14 PMs

Blunderbuss got 1, 2 and 6 correct. (and 4 and 5 previously).
Iron Greasel got 1, 2, 4, and 6 correct.
Sir Goulum got 1 correct.
Azred got 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7 correct.
LennonCook got 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7 correct.
armaggedon272 got 2 and 4 correct.
Illumina Drathiran'ar got 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 correct, and would have gotten 6 correct, had he not called me a tool Muahahah!
Gabrielles blades got 1, 3, and 6 correct.
Seraph got 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 correct.
Winter wolf got 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 correct.

Well done.

Here are the answers:

1. Very unlikely. In 72 hours, it will be midnight again.

2. Nothing, June only has 30 days.

3. None, princesses are crowned, not queens.

4. Neither. If you are off the coast, they will land in the water.

5. "Incorrectly"

6. It was roll-on deodorant.

7. 'S'. The letters are the first letters of all the words in the question.

Edit: Bleh, I used to be able to do that. What's the colour of the background?

In number 4...
I would think the full wine bottle would sink, being full and all, so it would be the first to hit the ground, if you call the sea floor the ground, unless it floats... or as it is going down it cracks under the pressure... ok so my theory has some faults, but I still say it would hit the ground first, unless it never reached the bottom and stayed floating at sea and the other bottle got swept to a beach, so it would touch the ground first.
Bah I'm thinking about this too much.
