"Bump" is a spammie way of moving your message to the top of the list so others can see it.

Because of the way the forum works, each time a post is replied to, it moves to the top of page one of the forum. Because of this sometimes posts that haven't been answered might end up on the next page. So bumping a post means adding a reply (usually just the single word "bump") in order to move it back up to the first page so everyone can see it. Messages about forum etiquette & rules etc also get bumped regularly so new members have a chance to read them.
