I thought it was a pretty good area, but my b/f felt the same when playing through it...he thought it was way too dark and he was delighted to see the trees and forest when exiting the underdark.
But you have to admit there are some pretty good quests and some amazing items to be found
I hope you still enjoy the game, you sound pretty pissed off

It's long, but I've found that There are a lot of powerful weapon parts down there. I just blew through it, and missed a most of the parts. I am going to try to go back, and find them. I did find it long as well....

The atmosphere got repetitive and tedious, but then I thought that about other games using the Underak (Eye of the Beholder 1 and Menzoberthingy)

Well i liked it, thought it was a good level! Felt myself almost whisper when answering the phone, I just waited for thoose drow to recognize me.. Well i think that the squid thingy was real bothersome and I gor a bit pissed for following the story live first time not making about that squidly diddley type.. Gruesome revenge in my hack and slash party I had after that! i blow my cover almost imediately and fought my through it all.. Fun, but well not as fun as the first time!

I thought it was brilliant. Plenty of atmostphere, and many challenging fights as well.

The only thing I found to be annoying were the strict time limits you up against in Ust Natha. Other than that, it was a pretty good level.

Strict????? I almost found myself laughing being told i had 'Three days to report to the tavern'. What on earth could you do for three days??? I just went places as quickly as possible to get out of there.

the coolest thing about ust natha was the mage duels you could set up in the tavern. too bad you end up annihilating the entire town and waste that hard-earned BadAssDrow rep you've built.
