Just started playing HoW but haven't done much because to me it seems that it is real slow especially in combat. Does anyone else have this problem? It did not occur in IWD or BG1 (still playing BG1 so I am not sure if it happens in BG2 - I know I am real slow). I am running Windows ME, HP Pavillion, 900 and some odd MGHZ - same as I ran for IWD. Anyone have ideas?
Thanks, FBN |

I'm not running ME so I am not sure if this will work or not...
Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL one time. Highlight items one at a time and then click on end task. Do *NOT* highlight explorer or systray and end task. These need to run at all times. This should dramatically speed up gameplay, especially if you had McAfee or Norton running on your system. Again, I have not worked with ME so if this does not work, I apologize in advance. |

I have also had the same problem. I closed ALL aplications with the exception of explorer and systray but it is still pretty shocking. With mine, even while walking around, it gets really slow at times. It's so damn unbearable that I uninstaled it all. I'll be building a new comp in the next couple of months so I will have to wait til then unless someone can shed some light on this matter but I think that I can say, I have tried just about everything to no avail.
And just to mention, Baldurs Gate 1 and Tales of the Sword Coast didn't do that. It worked like a dream. Either way. In my case, I'll just wait a while til I get the new comp up and running but hope you have some luck in speeding it up |

Did you check your game config.? You can adjust for
your processor, screen size, the whole enchalada. I didnt have any problems with mine. Do you have anything integrated on your mother board/ sound, video ? this can cause it to lag also. ------------------ If you dont know where you are going, stop spin around three times and then your home. |
