Do things like magic gauntlets and helmets count as armour? I just want to know if a wizard slayer could use them. If they don't I won't use a WS.
I guess things like cloaks don't count. What about potions? Not being able to use potions would be lame.

Wizard Slayers suck, I wouldent reccomend useing one. Also, yes the can use potions, but if not, it wouldnt be a loss, I rarely need potions (mainly beacuse Jaheria and Aerie have a bunch of heal spells, for the few times I need THOSE)

What about the gauntlets and helmets? I am trying to make an evil party so
Jaheira and Aerie aren't going to be included. Therefore healing potions are a must. The WS abilities still sound kind of useful. I need to make an evil tank to go alone with the rest of the proposed 'evil' party of:
PC Wizard slayer
Korgan
Viconia
Edwin
Jan
Haer' Dalis

Would a pure fighter be better? If only there were paladins or knights that served evil.

As a wizard slayer I'm sure you can use helmets, gauntlets and shields. You're still a fighter, after all.

you can use any item really, just not magic ones. you can only use magical weapons, helmets, armor, shields, and boots. you get high-end magic resistance, and 10% spell failure cast on target with every successful hit, so give these guys a bow, improved haste(or greater whirlwind) and let the mages have it! although for me the ideal wizard slayer is to be using Namarra, Bala's Axe, Shield of the Lost, Vhailor's Helm, Boots of Speed, and Endiku's Full Plate (ToB items included), with a good high-end longsword thrown in late in the game.

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

What are you saying? Are you trying to tell me you have feelings now? Ha, ha, ha... Stop acting as if you're sad. And there's no need to act as if you're angry either. Because, Cloud, you are... a puppet.

Small point - a wizard slayer can only use potions if you have ToB installed.

Wizard Slayers are the bomb. Do the following and you'll see my point.

Create a wizard slayer and put five slots in to short bow. The other into some axe so you acn use Azuredge or other throwing axe. Go with a high dex, high con and high intelligence. Dont worry about strength. It won't matter in a while. After you reach 9th level (decent THACO, maxed hit dice) dual to a mage. Survive to 9th level mage, get Tansheron's bow and Vecna's Robe and voila. You are a death dealing mage who can especially hand it to enemy mages. Combine it with the fact that you can cast practically instant dispel magics. Each hit from his arrows will deal out a 10% spell casting failure cumulative, oh and you can cast spells to boot. How does that suck?

You can get an evil paladin. There called an Anti-Paladin. Just make a paladin, do something evil so you loose your anlinment, and Voila! You have a Anti-Paladin. Tho theres not much diffrance. It would be awsome to have dark paladins as a class however, surving some evil god, that has diffrant abilites and the such.

Wizard slayers are useless! They may have full magic resistance but they cannot use magic items except armour and weapons.

Where there are monsters and barbarians there will be Byronas fighting against them.
