I have never seen this weapon in BG, yet I saw this Battle Axe +2 on a list of weapons in the game (from GateKeeper)
I dont want to us GK to get the weapon. Anyone know where I could find the Battle Axe +2? Thanks in advance. |

Item location spoiler
/ / / / / / / / / / / You can find a returning throwing axe +2 after you have left the catacombs under Candlekeep.

On this list I have, it shows the Battle Axe +2 as 1d8+2 and the Throwing Axe +2 as 1d6+3.
Which of these two would be better to wield? As of now, I only know where the throwing axe +2 is, so that makes the choice easy, and the fact that I can melee with it, as well as throw it, is nice. My dwarven warrior will not use any weapon other than an axe, so my options are not so great Any input on location of Battle Axe +2 ? Thanks in advance |

As for which axe is better, I'd go with the non-throwing version, as all throwing axes are limited to only 1 attack per round. The melee version lets you use your full Slamma-Jamma powers.
