unlock things that say they are warded against the lockpick skill. For example: the cabinet in the second floor of Mae-Var's place.

If something says that it cannot be lock-picked and "may be warded against by simple spells" that means you need a specific key or other item to open that.

That is a quest-related cabinet. You will eventually find a way to open it.

I messed up that quest so I need a way into it to prove Mae'Var guilty.s I messed it up by saying the wrong things to Edwin. Sigh, should I just go kill Mae-Var?

To Flamer:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ah I see, you must have refused to kill the Cowled Wizard then? Understandable, I did that first time round too. Well, you can kill Mae-var anyway, you won't get maximum Xp and reward items, but at least you know you did the 'right' thing. I basically whooped their asses and when I went back to Renal Bloodscalp to report, I got scolded and dismissed. Heh, but I continued. I later on find out the Cowled Wiards are a bunch of asses and swore to hunt down every single one of them. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin. Nononono, I did all the quests that Edwin and Mae'var asked. When I talked to Edwin he said he knew I was a traitor for Renal and I denied it. He then warped away leaving a bunch of thieves for me to kill. In a post below somewhere, somebody told me I should have admitted I was a traitor to Edwin and the quest was messed up. I want to know I f there is any way to get evidence on Mae'Var besides help from Edwin.

Heh, I can only think of Shadowkeeper, but really, you can still cream Mae-Var and his guild.
The Xp loss is minimal, and the reward is not that fantastic either. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin. |
