i think im thoroughly confused now, but if what i think your doing is right, you have a problem. are you trying to install a tutu mod for vanilla bg1? if so, it wont work, becuase its designed to run on the bg 2 engine.

Sorry, haven't been around much lately--on vacation in Japan. I had forgotten about the non-BG check for Tutu Tweaks. Use G3 Tweaks instead; it does not perform this check. (I could walk you through altering the tp2 for Tutu Tweaks, but using G3 is just faster. )

Ok, this worked!

I actually used G3 Tutu tweaks in the end with a modified TP2, removing the check, so thank you to they who helped out with that.

I'd encourage anyone to get rid of those helmet animations - the characters look soooooooo much better "au natural"...

DISCLAIMER: MODIFY TP2 FILES WITH EXTREME CAUTION!

The TP2 file is a guide for the install - it's actually just a text file if you open it up in Notepad. One of the first lines is:
ACTION_IF FILE_EXISTS ~data/AREA000A.bif~ THEN BEGIN FAIL @6 END

This is the BG2 check. So just comment out this line, so it now looks like:
// ACTION_IF FILE_EXISTS ~data/AREA000A.bif~ THEN BEGIN FAIL @6 END

This is of course totally unsupported and the G3 guys RIGHTLY SO don't have to raise a finger to help you out if you go with this approach. Pretty much the only tweak that's safe to install outside of Tutu is the helmets one - most of the others will make things break horribly!

Yet again, if you don't know what you're doing, DON'T DO IT!

There, that should be enough disclaimers for anyone.

Out of interest, the TP2 files contain ■■■■■■■ awesome-looking comment blocks. Way to go making stylish-looking code, guys! Who said aesthetics doesn't matter?
