That second man Turkey had sent off should have been yellow-carded, not red-carded, but Rivaldo should have also been redcarded for his disgraceful play-acting job. The way he dropped to the ground after the ball hit his hip (NOT his face) it looked like someone had shot him. Pathetic!! What a moron. No wonder people think that soccer players are softc*cks.

Maybe they should've stretchered him off - it must be a DREADFUL injury, getting hit in the leg by a soccerball. You know those hamstrings can be damn sensitive.

believe me, it can be painfull, especially when the ball is wet. And if the shot was from a guy like batistuta you probably can't walk for about a week. Unfortunatly footballplayers these days considder acting like they die in the penaltyarea a form of art. Not only are they begging for a penaltykick, they also beg the ref to pull a yellow card on the guy who tackled him. It's mostly the south american and southern european teams that do this, it's disgusting !
I don't know, johnny...the ball wasn't even kicked to him that hard. Heading a corner would have probably hurt more. Then again, I play rugby - little things like balls getting kicked into our hips aren't really in the same pain factor league as getting tackled hard by a 110 kg forward.

Very bad acting, when you consider he was clutching his FACE, not his hamstring or hip . "Moider da bum" I say - one match suspension!!!

Actually the turkish player 'only' got a yellow card, but he had already recieved one earlier - so 2 yellow => 1 red.

But the penalty was a gift - the offence was clearly committed outside the penalty-area.

Makes you wonder if Uruguaian forward Recoba was right, when he said that he feared that France would be favoured in their upcomming match, because noboby wanted to see the 'big' nations eleminated during the group stage of the competition - after all both Spain and Brazil have had penalties gifted to them already.
