Heya, I'm here! I should really be in bed about now but I can't sleep atm. I've only heard good things about Planet of the Apes, though I haven't seen it myself. I think it follows the same basic storyline as the previous incarnation, but has all the hallmarks of a contemporary movie (large battle sceens, OTT computer graphic effects etc).

I'm not sure how it compares to the originals in terms of 'being faithfull' though (my memory of them is hazy).

Why don't you want to watch the modern version CB? Afraid they've slaughtered one of the classics?

yes and no - for the most part it's very similar

there are a few differences but I don't really want to post them or I spoil it for everybody - I've seen the original trilogy too and still thought the new film was excellent
