Default Movie blues or blue movies ?

Howdy,

I can get W&W to play reasonably well, but trying to play the intro movie results in the black screen of locked-up ctrl-alt-delete-time type death.

Was wondering if the other movie (book.bik) is an ending sequence or if it'll be waiting to bite me on the nether regions during my travels ?

So you can play it without the intro movie..? From what I remember, I don't think W&W has any in-game cut scenes, but I may be wrong. My guess is that it probably is an ending sequence, but even if not, it shoudn't be much of a problem if you're saving frequently, provided it only happens once.

EDIT: You wouldn't be able to get past it if it was in-game would you..?

The intro movie isn't anything to write home about. It does not bring any game related information. Therefore, you are losing nothing if you skip it and forget it.
The engame movie is the same story. Once it is about to start (after Anephas praises you for killing Cet and evaporates) pres Esc, the movie will be cancelled and you will be teleported to Brimloch Roon.
