What is the best offensive spell in the game...whether cleric, mage or ..innate? my bets on Abi Dalzims

Yes IW is the best
 And Abi- Dazlem would be the best in SoA.... but I like Dragons Breath for ToB That is Purely damaging best of course [ 03-01-2002: Message edited by: Glorfindel ] |

On my custom made weapons, I use Chain Lightning (for sword) and Comet (for arrows).
But my favorite offensive spell is Greater Elemental Summoning. Those Princes can put a good pounding on opponents. |

Best Spell...
...For mind flayers...Invisable Stalker ...For Dragons...Lower Resist then Feeblemind (and reload if it doesn't work !) ...For Beholders....um...none..I use Balduran's shield ...web + greater Malison then empty out your fire balls works ok ... and Magic Missile wins the most useful all around spell hands down... I don't think I can narrow it down to a single "best" spell.

weell, i wouldnt call it the BEST, but i use very very much the 5th level cleric (rather druid) spell Insect Plague... up to six opponents cant cast spells and take damage and might run in fear.... really good considering its only 5th level so i can memorize a lot of it....
i havent tried ToB yest but i would say 10th mage level spell imlposion is also one of the best

to be honest..i have to say that my favourite offensive spell is the simple magic missile. YOu can have them from the begiinning, they are really fast to cast - great for disrupting spells, you can have lots of them and even a high magic resistance can;t stop at least from getting through. I find i use them a hell of a lot and against all types of opponents. HOrrid wiltings etc are good, but you get them late on and only 1-2 a day.
