What makes a man want to kill indiscriminately like this, like it was some damn DOOM game....

They say the death toll is 32 now. I'm sure it'll rise. Gotta turn off the TV for now. depressing as hell.

Will watch NBC News at 6:30 for updates.
I want to know this guys background, and what classes he took.. You want to understand what causes a human to snap like this...

You're getting our wind--it was nuts yesterday! And its a bit windy here now--and only 70 as a high in Florida! odd.

I also heard rumors that he was looking for his girlfriend, there's so much rumors spreading around it's hard to keep track of everything. One thing's for sure though, this guy was extremely determined, completely insane, and carried a LOT of ammo on him.

I think the first place that shots took place earlier were in a dorm. Either it was his dorm, or his girlfriends--or a guy that was cheating with her--that is usually what makes people go nuts... love. Seen it many times here in Florida.

Then the guys friends told this nut he wasn't here, and told him where he was, then he shoots them, and goes to the other building looking for him. just guessing.. who knows.

Update-- so far, 31 dead. crazy..

Well they've held a press conference and that dumb man on TV was wrong, the body count won't be up to 50 thankfully.

No doubt this guy's story will come out eventually. In the press conference one reporter asked the police in charge of security if any of the students tried to fight back, because he would. Such a dumb question cause how's he going to know the answer to that question yet, if at all? And if the killer had two guns, he probably had one in each hand. So he starts shooting probably from the doorway of a classroom. Who's going to try to walk up to him?!

They also have footage from some guy's cellphone cam where you can hear some of the shooting. It's so creepy!

Watch it come to light that he was on some kind of ADHD meds or something.

I bet you Jack Thompson will blame it on video games.

Dr. Phil already touched on the subject tonight. He said we need to take a look at the industry and the games being produced and played. The mass murderers of tomorrow are the children of today. They grow up playing games with huge levels of graphic violence in which they go around killing anybody that gets in their way or bothers them.

When you add the element of a psychopath or sociopath to a person growing up with this constant exposure to glamorized violence, you get a very volatile mix.

Note that he didn't say video games were solely responsible, or even primarily responsible. But he makes a very valid point. The games available on the popular platforms today have an unbelievable amount of violence in them. Any child who plays these games for any length of time can't help but become "desensitized" to the violence. That can then carry over into r/l because they don't view the violence they commit as "real".

A real tradgedy

Saw the news yesterday and first I thought that it was something to do with the storms we have heard about then they mentioned shootings and it dawned that this was another Columbine. :S

Jack can blame either games or Marilyn Manson and he will as usually be pretty ****** far from the real problem...

here is the timeline

Quote:
A timeline of events in the bloodiest school shooting in US history:

07.15am: A 911 call is made to police informing them of a shooting at the West Ambler Johnston Hall, one of the campus dormitories. A man and woman are found shot dead.

07.30am: Two wounded people are taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital, the nearest hospital to the campus.

08.00am: Classes begin for most of the 9000 students who live on campus and the thousands more who come from outside.

Police evacuate the dormitory and begin to question witnesses. Thinking that the shooter has left the campus, they decide with the university's agreement to treat it as an isolated incident.

09.26am: Students are informed of the shooting in the dormitory by an email advising them to be cautious and to contact police if they see anything suspicious.

09.30am: Students in the engineering building Norris Hall call police to say that more shots have been fired.

The unidentified gunman advances between classes, killing 30 people before turning the gun on himself. According to witnesses he was Asian and wore a black jacket.

About 20 wounded, some of them seriously, are taken to hospitals.

09.50am: "A gunman is loose on campus. Stay in buildings until further notice. Stay away from all windows," says a second email.

Loudspeakers broadcast a similar message.

10.16am: A third email announces that all classes have been cancelled and urges students "to remain where they are, lock their doors and stay away from windows".

10.52am: A fourth email warns of "a multiple shooting with multiple victims" in Norris Hall, saying the gunman has been arrested and that police are hunting for a possible second shooter. The entrances to the campus are locked.

In fact, the gunman is dead, but police are not sure if they have the shooter. Authorities remain uncertain whether the two incidents are linked and cannot rule out that the dormitory shooter is still on the loose and could re-appear.

12.15am: University president Charles Steger and campus police chief Wendell Flinchum tell a press conference that more than 20 people have been killed.

As the day progresses the toll rises to at least 33 dead, including the gunman.

[/QUOTE]You know what also has a lot of violence in it? Watching the news every day. I'm not surprised that they didn't even need to wait a day with pointing their fingers to the gamesindustrie, and i'm even less surprised that Docter Obvious himself, that retard Dr. Phil threw the first rock.
