For those of you that haven't heard, Trent Lott Stepped down as Majority Leader, but will retain his senate seat. The Leading contender for the Majority Leader Position is Bill Frist, Republican Senator from Tennessee and Architect of the Republican gains in the Senate in the last election.

Mark, I think at the time that Sessions supposedly made those comments he was a Democrat. He later changed parties and became a Republican. I think he has been re-elected twice since then.

Sir Taliesin, You're thinking of Senator Shellby of Alabama Sessions has been a Republican since he first ran.
