Has anyone actually used it without dying? You get three from that mage that falls from the sky near Seyda Neen. I tried it, and you can jump down to Ebonheart with one leap. Coming down is the problem.... you kind of die. Anyone combine it with slowfall to positive effect? Or landed in the water without drowning?

Never sell them. Its too fun. The first time I tried it I jumped from Pelegiad all the way to Vivec (and died). And Yorick, there's an amulet of slowfall you can get relatively early in the game. Either that or try to land in a body of water (you won't die if its deep enough. I've once used both (slow fall and icarian flight) successfully on my way to some dwemer ruins near suran.

Thanks guys

Now, here's another thought. Has anyone let the falling mage fall on you? I wonder what would happen.

Yes we know this Kakero.... we are talking about the three Icarian flight scrolls from him remember C'mon, keep up.

However, are you implying that if you stand under him, he doesn't die?

I've tried that before but he falls down just too fast to be saved.

There was a thread posted on the Official Morrowind Forum (I think) in which the poster said he had enchanted something with slowfall, cast on target. I don't know if he was being truthfull, but is an intriguing idea.

I wonder if it is really possible to save him?

I think I read that thread as well. Assuming the physics of the game are realistic, I don't think standing underneath him might help, in fact it might kill you both. I also think the sequence is triggered once you are within a specific range, thus making it inpossible to run in time to save him.

The daedric ruins in the far far northeast are a good one too. Too bad there isn't more incidents like that in the game. A random cliffracer attacking guards every now and then would be nice (luring in the lizard birds isn't quite the same).
