I am seeing a lack of interesting stuff lately, so I got to thinking and decided to start a game, how about I start of by introducing a category, then everyone posts a link to something cool/interesting in that category. After a certain amount of links the person who started the category will pick which one is the most interesting and the person who posted it gets to start the new category? Either that or we could have it set up for people to vote or something...

Anyways it's just an idea, what do you think?

So, give us a category, and let's see if this thing lives or dies...

From News of the Weird Aug 14
Quote:
Scientists at the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research in Pittsburgh announced in June that they had drained dogs' blood from their bodies, filled them with a replacement fluid, and then revived them by successfully reinfusing blood three hours later, thus creating for a time "zombie" dogs. During the three hours, the dogs were clinically dead, with no heartbeat or brain activity, but after reinfusion and electric shocks, they came back to life, normal with no brain damage. (Not all dogs made it back, though.) A spokesman said the technique could be tried on humans within a year. [New York Post, 6-28-05]

According to the Indian Express, Dr Purani, based his paper, Medical Adventures in Shrimad Bhagavadam, on the Hindu scripture, which contains references to male conception and a man's stomach being cut open to allow a male child to be delivered. That last occurrence was probably history's first recorded caesarian as well, he told delegates at the conference.

And the link.
