How about John Wilkes Booth, or Lee Harvey Oswald. Something along those lines would be fun to use.

I have a book that lists Human, Elven, Dwarven, ect. names, and could give you a list if you wanted.

I name nearly all my characters as such:

MALE: Arrakis
FEMALE: Tear's Fall

In the case of an assasin... Oooohhh... Why not Maverick? A rebel to society and order?

NAME HIM TIAX! TIAX RULES ALL!!!

Names like "Chaos" and "Entropy" come in handy no matter what the class.... as long as you're evil.

How 'bout something like, say, Fluffy. That'd really throw everyone off- you'd never be suspected of anything with a name like that!

like the wombles, I pick names out of the atlas a lot.
I had an assassin named Ras Dashan who made it to 16th level in a tabletop D&D game many years ago. Ras Dashan is also a city in Ethiopia, I think....

pick up a copy of JRR Tolkien's Silmarillion and look through the glossary in the back. Pick a couple words and meld them together- you can get some great names that way.
