yesterday I saw the Witch Wake expansions and others at
the "Game Stop' store in town. Has anybody played them and
are they worth the $14.95 U.S. or not.

Well I havn't played them but I think Memnoch has played on of them.

There was a thread around here with some opinions on them.

I've heard that Kingmaker and The Sword coast one are good.

I'm thinking of purchasing some of these "premium" modules. BioWare's online store currently has a special deal where you can buy all of the modules in a bundle for only $14.99 USD. This includes Kingmaker, Pirates, Shadow Guard, & Witch's Wake. However, you have to download the content from their website and I believe you also have to have an active internet connection while you play them (for verification purposes).

i bought the diamond edition dvd which includes the premium mods, so the only internet needed would be for a patch, if it's required. makes installation of the whole series so much easier.
however, to answer your question, i played witches wake before bioware adopted it and hired the designer. it is GREAT! it tops even HotU (my favorite in the NWN trilogy). shadowguard is very good too, although it starts you out graduating from school much like the OC. since i haven't played kingmaker yet, i'll have to refrain from saying anything about it.
