Ranger, spell question

This is probably a very dumb question but I'm a newb so please forgive me.

I'm playing NWN for the first time and my character is a 4th level Elf Ranger and from what I've read, Rangers can cast spells but for the life of me I can't figure out how to acquire them and/or cast them. Do I have to find or buy scrolls and memorize them or with each level do I (will I) acquire them? When I click on my spell book all I see is the symbol for 'Cantrips' but there are no actual spells listed.

Please help.

Rangers don't gain their first spell until 6th lvl, and it will come to you as divine spells do, you'll get a list of spells to choose from, you know them all, but can only cast x per day. At lvl 20, with no bonuses, Rangers will have 3 spells at spell lvls one through four. This is per the NWN's original manual.

OK, I reached Level 6 and I now have the 1st level Ranger spells but I can't access 'Cantrips' spells. When does that happen?

Rangers don't have access to cantrip spells.

Legolas, I guess you're right---I thought I read that Rangers have access to cantrip spells. But, when I click on my spellbook, 'Cantrip' is listed right before '1st Level', however, there are no spells listed below 'Cantrip', whereas under '1st Level' all my 1st level spells are listed.

This confused me.

Yeah, I don't know why they couldn't have disabled that button, but...
