You are right, that is a stupi... kidding, kidding. Yeah the option for turning off the clicking sound should be in Control Panel - Sound.

interesting question... just turn off your volume.
But lucky me, I don't have sound on this computer anymore... I have to get a new sound card.

As I was saying, I am listening to WMP on my computer. I kinda need the volume to be up. I have looked everywhere for an option for this specific sound option, no dice. Does any one anyone even know what I am talking about? Its not a tone at all. Its just a click.

LK, YES, it's taht annoying "CLICK" every time you use IE, OH wait, I don't use IE anymore! Go get Firefox now.

Yes, it's under CP=M&S=Windows, sound scheme area. If you are running any of M$Win "Plus" or a native theme, that is where the problem lies, but the heart and soul is in CP=M&S=Windows tab. Start by testing the sounds of all the stuff that has a speaker icon next to it. Once you have found that sound, eliminate it, and it will no longer haunt you.

I agree with Felix except I just got rid of all the sounds in the Window's set up. Saved me a lot of annoyance.
