Is BG1 still worth getting after i have already played BG2? Cause after i played D2, D1 was too boring to play.

I wonder if BioWare and Black Isle would consider a Baldur's Gate prequel? Kind of a 'Baldur's Gate: Episode 1 - The Time of Troubles' or summat. We could see things like the rise of Cyric, Gorion and the Harpers doing bits like meeting and fighting Winski Petorate and company, defeating Firkraag, and the birth of Sarevok, an innocent little child until he is twisted by the malign power within him. You could have things like The Clone Wars or the division in the Harper Council when a young Galvarey opposes Gorion's decision to adopt and train in the ways of good two of Bhaal's children.

Personally, I feel everyone should play BG before playing BG2. You end up with
- A 'feel' for the continuing history
- A fondness for some of the familiar faces
- More experience with the game system
- A harder character, if you've finished BG and Tales of the Sword Coast.

Give it a go. You never know, you might really like it.

Wow man I bought BG1 today for £10. I didn't come with "swords of the coast" addon though. Its dam hard. You got to stick wit AD&D rules, not easy ones or you get less exp. Your chars start at Level 1. My PC has a pathetic 6 HP. Also Imoen is dam anoying she has some sort of speech problem, insted of something like "I dont like this" she says "I do be haven enough of this I be". She also keeps calling me a "quere fellow" which is annoying. Despite all of this I think I will like it. Oh yeah and Black Isle are cheap skates they use the same cutscenes from BGI in BGII.

Hmm... perhaps Irenicus was merely posing as a speech therapist in Amn and merley stumbled upon the power of Bhaal after taking Imoen as a patient? Let's face it, we don't know HOW he found out about the PC and co.

I don't recall any of the BG1 cut-scenes being duplicated in BG2 at all.
