Well, she had kids, but he has been much more of a parent to them than their own parents, so it will be complicated (to say the least) although he seems in fairly good spirits.

The study is so i can become a chartered accountant... so i get proof that i am a boring old fart!

And, that sucks sever, not only losing her, but the massages! damn, thats gotta be hard to take. Although, at least you GOT some free massages.. my wife has a "Its better to receive than give" policy when it comes to massages

So she was crazy, and she dumped you?

Not to worry. You're always guaranteed to achieve something unique from a relationship with a crazy person. You may think of her as crepe now but, if my own meager experience is anything to go by, you'll look back on it and smile.

My buddy has lost 95 pounds over the last 14 months... enough to make me accept that it can work. So far, so good for me... but tomorrow's my first official weigh-in. Looks like I'll be down at least 5 this week.

*edit* Officially down 6-1/4... a good start, to be sure

Now for some gaming to relax my brain...
Can and does work! If you stick with it, that's the key. Your's truly here is on the program and have kept off just shy of 50 pounds but have not been ahem...altogether good about the plan over the last few months or I would have made progress rather than backsliding a few pounds. I've got to get back on track - vacation killed my discipline! LOL That and all the Easter candy in the house...sigh... but most of THAT is gone now.. ahem...

Thing is, it does slow down eventually and you have to keep to the plan and find ways to increase activity if necessary. That last part's been my undoing for a while.. but it's Spring so I'm hoping to have some incentive from the lighter clothing I'll have to pull out...and hope fits!

Oh, I know the pace will slow down. I've gotten down to what's currently -30 a couple of times, but plateaued there. That's where I expect the real fun to begin..

The part I like best is where I'm almost always trying to find something else to eat...

Onward!

Wow, I've missed this place. It's been forever. So just thought I'd drop in and say hey.

If you like cake.... try this version, it's 4 points, frosted for 1/12 of the 9x13 cake.

1 Devil's food cake mix (use a good name, the store brands come out kind of flat)

1 can room temperature diet coke with splenda

1 egg

Beat them with a mixer until smooth, bake as directed on the box.

Frosting- mix one package fat free pudding mix, 1 cup skim milk and 1 8 oz tub of Cool Whip free. Mix the milk and pudding mix up first then add the cool whip, mix that well and frost the cake. Keeps best in the fridge.

(White cake or other mixes count for more- basically the points are for the dry cake mix per serving and 1 pt each serving for the frosting).

Hmmm... sounds yummy, Cloudy

My daughter's birthday dinner was tonight... and she wanted to go to the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant

I managed to sneak out with only 26 points for dinner.... which left me seven into the bank for the week. Not as good as usual, but better than I feared With Easter and her birthday out of the way, I can get back to normal eating

Wow! Just saw you topped 19,000 posts, Cloudy! That's... beyond impressive!

Aside from that, finished up my peasant game of W&W and need to finish up a new book... well, start it, really. It's my second... and if I do things well and can get it completed within three weeks, I can hopefully sell a lot at an upcoming user conference. Time to get my butt in gear, though...
