Your cleric can learn this skill if you have finished two (or three?) quests for the temple guilt.

Hey,

it is silly, that you must learn this skill in a guild.

And it is more stupid, that nobody of the party can identify a rosted sword or something else of uesless items....

Is this a party who all are blind ??

Heh, thats true. Especially after they'd picked up about 1000 of them, you'd think they'd start to recognize them. I can just see it. The warrior picking up his 400th rusty sword and the whole party gathering around to look at it with a puzzled look on their face. They all look at each other saying..

"What do you think this is? It's a long sharp piece of metal, with rust on it....hmmmm. Better take it back to town with the rest of them and have someone check it out. Oh well, lets go smash some more barrels. People like to stick money and potions in those."

To learn the Artifacts skill, you must
1) reach level 3 membership at the Priest Guild
2) have the Ancient Lore trait.

If you do not have 2) by the time you reach 1), you will be offered to study Ancient Lore first at the Guild. Good luck, and believe me, you won't be id'ing much until your Artifact skill reaches at least 3.

1. Go outside the village gate, save the game, go back in, spend all your money identifying things, then reload original game. That way you at least know what things are.

2. If you pay to identify something, all the items in the pack are checked, and if they are the same, they are identified too, so load up one character with swords and pay once.
