Heavier Off hand weapons

Does a heavier off hand weapon give you penalties against attack bonuses?

What about the size of the weapon? SHould the off hand carry a small blade or scimitar (i heard that somewhere scimitars count as a small blade.)

I'm duel wielding a flail and longsword so i get both types of attack, slashing and bludgeoning.

In IWDII: only small swords count as good off-hand weapens.

In dnd 3rd ed.: all light weapons count as good off-hand weapons(including hand-axes, light maces etc.)

Good meaning that the penalty against your BAB is only -2 (the lowest possible). Anything heavier than a short sword or a dagger will give you a bigger penalty, I think.

If you check the bonuses to attack rolls in the record screen, it should tell you the penalty to attack rolls you are incurring.
