need help with eyeless cult , possible bug (spoiler)

i just the killed the demon thing in the temple, by healing it. then spoke with the avatar. he was supposed to give me part of the rod of something. but i didnt get anything. and it didnt say that the party gained an item. so when i go out side to tell every body what i was doing like the dude wanted me to they didnt start any new dialog. why wont he give me any item. or what item am i supposed to get. i could give it to myself with shadow keeper if i knew what it was.

Which dialogue choices did you take when you talk to the avatar? Not sure if this will help, but did you tell him that you will take the thing yourself?

yes and to the effect that i would help him out. i have reloaded and tried all the options exept the one about how bout if i just take it from him. and they all seem to ellicit about the same response. and he alwasy says something like take this and tell my people what your doing to spark some faith

I am not sure about this (since I have not encounter this yet, he has always given me the piece), but you can check around the room or the alter at the back inside the temple. If nothing happens, then you can always add the 1st part of the rift device from CreateItem or Shadowkeeper.

now i've got the item. ala shadowkeeper. but when i go back to the room where the custists are. this one dude starts the cerimony and takes the otherdudes eyes. then the "camera" scans off screen. and i cant do any thing. i can hear my thief going "no one will see me". but i dont have any interface panels or any mouse cursor. its getting on my nerves

That scene is normal, don't worry, you are not suppose to do anything when he gets his eyes "removed".
