Hi,
I know this may be off topic but I am very curious... Are these two games linked in any way? Do they have the same developers or anything like that? I wonder about it because they seem so very similar. It feels almost like the people responsible for Wizardry 8 took a shot at making a similar game that branched out from the original. Any thought are welcome. Btw, I love both games but I am currently playing Wizardry 8 and having a blast doing so Have fun, Pystal

The original designer of the Wizardry series was D W Bradley, I believe he designed all the Wizardry from 1 through 7 and had an early hand in Wizardry 8. Bradley designed W & W and so thats why they feel the same sort of games.
Personally I did feel the W&W was far more a D W Bradley game. W* while an excellent game, and one that I have enjoyed, lacks comething that is present in W7 and W&W. Most notably the NCP characterisations of W8 are very weak whereas they are strong in W&W and W7, a hallmark of Bradley's style. |
