Is there anyone in the entire game that has ANYTHING worthwhile to pickpocket? I can't remember the skill coming in handy once..

Didn't really try pickpocketing in the game......I find it to be more fun hacking and slashing my way through....and the beginning town I did not get anything good, so that was kinda discouraging.

When I first arrived in Kuldahar, I pickpocketed a ring of free action from Arundel, and several nice items (including a ring of protection +2) from the gnome in the airship. It was worth it to me

Im in the habit of pickpocketing anyone who sells stuff. I always get a Ring of Free Action from Arundel. The others in Kulduhar are random.

I really got jipped the last time thru:
arundel - ring of free action
gnome - potion of worthlessness
mage - ring of free action

Arundel's Ring of Free Action is worth having especially since you'll be meeting lots of "clerics" with hold person in the Dragon's Eye. Also later on when you get his staff, the ring is gone.
That said I have pumped all the thieving skills into Find Traps. It's normally worth a try but as always, save first.

don't forget you can also get an amulet of metaspell influence from arundel and a necklace of missles from the gnome, plus i must have pickpocketed 10+potions from him, just depends on whether you feel like constantly reloading save-games or not

Gee, that's funny.. i never get anything from Arundel when i pick his pocket. Though, if you KILL him, you get stuff. Pickpocketing Orrick the Grey will land you a ring of free action and a necklace of metaspell influence.
