Yes the one you are talking about is "Jester's Bag of holding", But I mean is there one that we as PCs can actually use?

The HoW expansion has gem bags, potion bags and scroll cases. These do come in very handy. As for the dead cat? Maybe throw it at something?

gems, like everything else, lose value once you've sold an item of that type. if you save all your pearls and fireagates until after wyrm's tooth (where you'll find a ton!) you can cash them all in at once, for the first time, for a big chunk of change. otherwise, the gems may depreciate so much that by the time yo reach wyrm's tooth, most gems may not be worth carrying.
